ขอเชิญชมนิทรรศการภาพถ่าย “ระยะทาง 7,610-กิโลเมตร: ในที่สุดเราก็ได้เจอกัน (7,610-kilimeter Distance: Finally, We’ve Met One Another.)” อันเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของ “โครงการสัมมนาและอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการภาพถ่ายสำหรับช่างภาพรุ่นใหม่ของติมอร์ เลสเต้ (ออนไลน์)” โดยคณะจิตรกรรม ประติมากรรมและภาพพิมพ์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ร่วมกับ สมาคมภาพถ่ายแห่งประเทศไทย ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์

นิทรรศการนำเสนอภาพถ่ายจำนวน 40 ชิ้น จาก REKREATIF (อ่านว่า เรเครตีฟ) กลุ่มช่างภาพจากประเทศติมอร์ เลสเต้ และนักศึกษาจากคณะจิตรกรรมฯ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร เพื่อให้ผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการได้ประโยชน์สูงสุด โครงการฯจึงแบ่งกิจกรรมออกเป็น 2 หัวข้อย่อย ดังนี้

1) Diary of a Pandemic in Timor Leste and Thailand (บันทึกของโรคระบาดในประเทศติมอร์ เลสเต้ และประเทศไทย)

ช่างภาพ REKREATIF ได้เล่าเรื่องของคนและสถานการณ์ของการถูก Lockdown ใน Dili เมืองหลวง ทุกคนต้องอยู่ในบ้าน สามารถออกไปนอกบ้านได้เท่าที่จำเป็นเท่านั้น นอกจากนี้ REKREATIF ยังได้นำเสนอเรื่องราวของคนอีกจำนวนหนึ่ง ที่ไม่มีบ้านและไม่มีอุปกรณ์ป้องกันตัวเองที่ดีนัก ไม่ต่างไปจากภาพของฝั่งติมอร์มากนัก นักศึกษาศิลปะจากคณะจิตรกรรมฯ ได้นำเสนอชีวิตผู้คนที่ต้องสู้ดิ้นรนเพื่อให้อยู่รอด ไม่ว่าจะเป็นพ่อค้าแม่ค้าริมทางเท้าและเจ้าของธุรกิจ ที่ต้องมีทั้งความอดทนและมีหวัง ว่าสักวันหนึ่งโควิทจะผ่านไป และผู้คนจะกลับมาซื้อขายกันเหมือนเดิม

2) Martial art performance photography Nuu’udar: How do you cope with being a human? (ภาพถ่ายศิลปะการแสดงการต่อสู้ คุณรับมือกับการเป็นมนุษยอย่างไร)

วิทยากร / Curator : Kyoko Ebata ศิลปินจากประเทศญี่ปุ่น

ความรักและความรุนแรงตามธรรมชาติของมนุษย์เป็นประเด็นหลักของการทำงานร่วมกันระหว่าง REKREATIF และ Kyoko ในครั้งนี้ วิทยากรอภิปรายเรื่องศิลปะการต่อสู้ที่ถูกนำเสนอด้วยภาพถ่าย ศิลปะการต่อสู้ในติมอร์ตะวันออกนำเสนอถึงความต้องการของมนุษย์ ที่ต้องการปกป้องตนเองจากกลุ่มอำนาจทางสังคม หลังวิกฤตการณ์ และระหว่างอัตราการจ้างงานที่ต่ำ อย่างไรก็ดี ด้านดีของการมีกลุ่มต่อสู้ คือ พวกเขาทำให้ชุมชนรวมเป็นหนึ่ง ศิลปะการต่อสู้เป็นเครืองมือที่สำคัญในการรวมร่างกายและวิญญาณให้เป็นหนึ่งเดียวกัน

‘7,610-kilimeter Distance: Finally, We’ve Met One Another.’ The photography exhibition entitled ‘7,610-kilimeter Distance: Finally, We’ve Met One Another.’ Is a result of “A Photography Workshop for Young Timorese Photographers (online)” organized by the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University in collaboration with The Royal Photographic Society of Thailand. This workshop was possible with a great support from The Japan Foundation Asia Centre that promotes the cultural collaboration among Japan, Thailand, and Timor-Leste.

The exhibition features 40 photographs by REKREATIF photographers from Timor-Leste and fine art students from Silpakorn University. In order for the participants to achieve maximum benefits, the workshop contained 2 topics of exploration as follows:

1) Diary of a Pandemic in Timor-Leste and Thailand

Photographs by the REKREATIF photographers present people and their various situations of Dili’s lockdown due to the COVID 2019. They have to stay home, can only leave home for necessary and important reasons. Moreover, the REKREATIF presents unfortunate people who do not have a house to live in and enough masks to protect themselves. Rather similarl to the REKREATIF’s, Thai students’ photographs present lives of hardship as well as lives of hope in Bangkok and Nakhonpratom. Photographs show vendors and small business owners who have great patience and hope at the same time.

2) Martial art performance photography Nuu’udar: How do you cope with being a human?)
Mentor / Curator : Kyoko Ebata, a Japanese artist
Love and violence in human’s nature was a central subject of the REKREATIF’ and Kyoko’s co-investigation. Kyoko discussed about photography of martial arts. Martial arts in Timor-Leste present human’s need to protect themselves among political powers, after crisis, and during low employment rate. However, there is a positive side of martial arts groups; they unit their community. Martial art is perceived as a means of uniting body and soul.
